At approximately 3:30 the club began with self-introductions. The members enjoyed the presence of a Special Guest, Ms. Rie Fujiwara.
At 3:40p.m. Sgt. Palmer introduced the topic 'The Origin of Whole Foods Around the World'. From 3:40 to 4:30p.m. the group discussed the origins of Rice (Central and Southern China/ Northern India), the origins of wheat (the Levant), strawberries (eastern North America/Chile), onions (Pakistan/India), apples(Asia Minor), potatoes (United States/Uruguay/Chile), peanuts (Peru), corn (Mexico), and coffee.
At 4:30p.m. Sgt. Palmer opened the floor for questions. Wataru Sakamoto asked Sgt. Palmer about the recent food poisonings around the world. Sgt. Palmer and the students discussed the Global Financial Crisis and its affect on farmers around the world.
At 5p.m. the meeting came to an end.

September 30th Meeting!
3:30pm the Club started with an examination of High School events in America and Japan. Sgt. Palmer gave a slideshow presentation on American high school extracirricular activities. Aoki Honoka, Miki Ayako, Mai Kawabata, Yakushi, Shoko, and Hiroki Araishi explained Japanese high school events. They talked about BunKaSai and TaiIkuSai (体育祭).
3:50pm the Club watched clips from the movies 'Can't Buy Me Love'
and 'Footloose'.
The group examined the differences in attire for various American High School Dances.


4:15pm Sgt. Palmer explained the American high school sports seasons and the students talked about Japanese high school sports seasons. The group compared the difference between American sports seasons and Japanese sports seasons, in addition to the difference in school semesters.
4:50pm the talked about planning a 'Secret Santa' party.
At 5pm the group commenced, avowing to meet next tuesday.
