Tuesday October 14th Meeting!
At approximately 3:30 the club began with self-introductions. The members enjoyed the presence of a Special Guest, Ms. Rie Fujiwara.
At 3:40p.m. Sgt. Palmer introduced the topic 'The Origin of Whole Foods Around the World'. From 3:40 to 4:30p.m. the group discussed the origins of Rice (Central and Southern China/ Northern India), the origins of wheat (the Levant), strawberries (eastern North America/Chile), onions (Pakistan/India), apples(Asia Minor), potatoes (United States/Uruguay/Chile), peanuts (Peru), corn (Mexico), and coffee.
At 4:30p.m. Sgt. Palmer opened the floor for questions. Wataru Sakamoto asked Sgt. Palmer about the recent food poisonings around the world. Sgt. Palmer and the students discussed the Global Financial Crisis and its affect on farmers around the world.
At 5p.m. the meeting came to an end.

September 30th Meeting!
3:30pm the Club started with an examination of High School events in America and Japan. Sgt. Palmer gave a slideshow presentation on American high school extracirricular activities. Aoki Honoka, Miki Ayako, Mai Kawabata, Yakushi, Shoko, and Hiroki Araishi explained Japanese high school events. They talked about BunKaSai and TaiIkuSai (体育祭).
3:50pm the Club watched clips from the movies 'Can't Buy Me Love'
and 'Footloose'.
The group examined the differences in attire for various American High School Dances.


4:15pm Sgt. Palmer explained the American high school sports seasons and the students talked about Japanese high school sports seasons. The group compared the difference between American sports seasons and Japanese sports seasons, in addition to the difference in school semesters.
4:50pm the talked about planning a 'Secret Santa' party.
At 5pm the group commenced, avowing to meet next tuesday.

September 25th Meeting!
Minutes:
At 3:30 p.m. 8 students convened in Room 4 at Clark High School.

The meeting began with self-introductions.

The group discussed American high school dances. Sgt. Palmer explained the difference between a Homecoming Dance 
At 4:15p.m. the group began viewing Back to the Future. The film began where it was stopped during the last viewing.

At 4:45p.m. the film was stopped once again and the group discussed the characters;
The meeting concluded at 5:00 p.m. Regular group meetings will take place on Tuesdays every week, and more social, relaxed meetings will take place on Thursday afternoons.

15時30分よりクラーク東京キャンパス第4教室にて開始。
今回は8人の生徒が参加し、それぞれの自己紹介と共にクラブを開始しました。
今日のテーマは"アメリカの高校におけるダンスについて"
Palmer先生がホームカミングダンスとプロムダンスの違いについての説明をしました。
その後、16時15分から映画『バック・トゥ・ザ・フューチャー』の上映を前回ストップした箇所より開始。
16時45分に一旦止め、登場人物について話し合いました。
クラブは17時に終了。週2回あるクラブのうち、火曜日は通常の活動、木曜日はやや打ち解けた内容での活動になります。

At 3:30 p.m. the group began by listening to ‘Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band’ performed by the Beatles.
The group discussed the song.
At 4 p.m. 3rd year student Miki Ayako led a discussion about the group's future meetings.
The students decided;
the group will study teen culture in English speaking countries,

the group will compare Japanese teen culture to teen cultures around the world,

the group will sponsor an essay contest about foreign cultures,
and the group will plan and prepare for either a Halloween or Christmas party.

16時より3年生の三木さんが議長となり、今後のクラブ活動について自由に意見を出し合いました。
決まった内容は以下の通りです。
・英語圏の国々の文化についての学習
・日本の若者文化と各国のそれらの文化についての比較
また、海外文化についてのエッセイコンテスト、ハロウィーンやクリスマスパーティーの開催についても検討していくことが決定しました。
週2回あるクラブのうち、火曜日は通常の活動、木曜日はやや打ち解けた内容での活動になります。
